I've liked Graham Parker and The Rumour for years - since the 1970s. My favourites were the first two albums Howlin' Wind and Heat Treatment. Went to see them recently (May 2014) and heard enough great songs to go and buy this one on CD. Didn't play it much on vinyl when it first came out - my mistake.

i recently saw a Graham Parker documentary on BBC 4 and decided to purchase a copy of this album which had long been lost. Terrific tracks take me back to the 80s and a really great singer and band that never quite got the reputation they deserved.

This is probably the high water mark of Graham Parker's long and distinguished career. Every song is a gem, and it has not dated at all in over 30 years since release. The live recordings and two bonus tracks make this version of the CD a particularly worthwhile investment.

Just buy it, you'll not regret it.

A legend from the past. What talent; could have been ignored at the time, as so many bands / music were "cutting edge" You couldn't buy them all.

Clasic post-punk album. Great songs, cool lyrics. Just enough angst to get you thinking. Really nice album. See this man and his band live. They are excellent.

Not as good as Heat Treatment, but that's one of my favourite albums so maybe no surprise.
